Real Retirement
I retired from ATT in December 2000 with 30 years service. I worked for Aztec, and AFL for another 10 years. In 2010 I stopped working and became a “kept man”. Joyce still works at Plano Super Bowl, and probably will until they have to cart her out on a gurney. I could go into an explanation of her Bowling career, but that's for her blog.
Most days I get up, go to get some coffee, and then to the Public Library in McKinney. Anna does not have a library. It is in the works, but not built yet. While at the library, I usually read the current book that I downloaded to my phone. Lately, I have been spending my time writing this blog. Thank you Kelly, and Aidan.
You know, most guys my age have a hobby, or go hunting or fishing when they retire, but I don't like doing any of that, so, I read. I have always liked to read, and probably spent a small fortune at Half Priced Books buying books before I discovered downloadable MP3 books from the library. Now I always have a book on my phone I can read when I have downtime.
